The great thing about Hyunda & Kia is if you don’t like one car, the other is typically your style. This comes down to their packaging and the 2020 Hyundai Palisade Does have Leather Seats but not on the base trim.
You can get leather seats starting on the SEL Trim but you do need to get the Premium Package (which requires the sunroof, and convenience packages). This is a bit of a downer but if you’re someone who likes cloth seats I am willing to say the cloth is really high quality. It’s not the cheap cloth you had in your 2014 Toyota Corolla it’s comfortable while being supportive. However, I am not personally a fan of cloth seats solely because they don’t look as nice in vehicles (in my opinion).
Naturally, on the Limited trim, you get Nappa Leather seats which is higher quality leather. But even the standard leather is quite good compared to a lot of the competition. The one thing I will warn you is that with all leather seats the colors from your jeans can bleed into the leather and stain it. In which case you can try using a quality leather conditioner or a magic eraser (be gentle with the magic eraser) to remove the stain.
Alternatives
If you’re wanting leather or at least leatherette on the base trim consider the Kia Telluride it has leatherette on the lower trims and leather on the upper trims (leatherette is a synthetic leather). Of course if you’re set on the styling of the Palisade the Kia will not likely be a good fit but it is an option to carry over most of the features and to get your leather on a base trim!
Finally a company called Katzkin does offer an aftermarket solution that looks just like the Limited Trim here’s an example eBay listing. The company is honestly one that I recommend they have been doing this forever, their leather is high quality and I don’t know anyone who has used their products and been disappointed.
