No, just like the 2020 Hyundai Palisade the mirrors will not automatically fold in like they do on the Kia Telluride. The mirrors can still be controlled electrically and will angle down when entering reverse but they are not power folding. This means, you’re going to have to manually move the mirrors in when parking in tight spaces.
What’s New In The 2021 Hyundai Palisade?
Not much, 2021 has been a year that while it introduced the new Calligraphy Trim it’s effectively last years limited trim with some cosmetic changes.
The new calligraphy trim effectively has a new grill design, additional front end lighting for the DRL, and some additional design changes in the rear. But functionally the 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is the U.S equivalent of the 2020 Limited.
Closing Thoughts
No, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade doesn’t add a WiFi hotspot. Infact, for any trim level that isn’t the base or the SEL without the 10.25 inch display, you’re not getting any new features. This is in stark contrast to say the Kia Telluride which recently added remote start on its key fob which wasn’t present at all in 2020.
However, I am personally a fan of the design changes on the new Calligraphy Trim level. The new grill design is exactly as it should be, and the extra DRL lighting looks good. I am not a fan personally of the modified skid plate design I feel a flat piece would have just looked better on the frontend and rear like it was on the previous model year. I do wish that the Calligraphy Trim also came with the Android Auto for the simple reason that it would pair well with the wireless charging pad.
