One thing I always suggest car buyers to avoid cheaping out on is tires. A spare tire is the preferred over run-flats, and certainly preferred over some patch kit that oftentimes is rather useless.
Now, the Hyundai Palisade does come with a spare underneath the care but it is not a full-size spare its more of a “donut”. It can get you to a shop if there is one close by but it’s not by any means a full-size spare.
A Full-Size Spare Can Be Added
Some owners have opted to get a full-size spare replacement as was outlined in this post. The TLDR of the post was the owner bought a limited wheel (20 inches) for their SEL which also has 20-inch wheels. They mounted it underneath the care instead of the donut spare. They did point out that it did cost them a couple of inches of ground clearance so if you’re one to go soft off-roading with the Hyundai Palisade keep that in mind.
I also would recommend that if you’re looking to get a full-size spare you purchase an exact wheel match from the dealership (to keep the style the same). However, overall the answer is yes, it does come with a spare and a full-size spare can be added if you purchase one. This can provide you with peace of mind on long road trips and make you feel more “protected”.
