Does The 2020 Hyundai Kona Come With A Sunroof?

The 2020 Hyundai Kona is an attractive vehicle it comes in a small form factor with quite a bit of interior space. But vehicles of this size don’t always come with the luxury of a Sunroof and this is because most vehicles of this class tend to be a bit on the cheaper end. The Kona though is no slouch, and comes with many features you would struggle to find in similarly priced vehicles.

A Sunroof Is Available But On Certain Trims

You can get a sunroof on the 2020 Hyundai Kona but its behind a trim starting with the SEL Plus a sunroof should comes standard on any Kona. It is not a panoramic sunroof though and in case you aren’t sure what that means it means its a smaller sunroof it typically covers about half of the roof. A panoramic sunroof tends to extend all the way to the back passengers but this is sadly not present on any trim of the Hyunda Kona.

The SEL Plus trim starts at a relatively low cost as well ($23,950) new. I personally recommend though if you can going for the Limited Trim which is $26,100 the reason for this is primarily you get full leather seating surfaces. Furthermore the SEL Plus while it does come with a sunroof it is not powered nor does it open to let air in. So you will need to manually move the shade to open the sunroof and its only to let light in (it will not open to allow air to enter the cabin).

Closing Thoughts

Sunroofs which were luxury items until fairly recently are now very much mainstream. If you’re wanting a sunroof for your future Kona checkout the Limited Trim so you can get a fully powered sunroof that opens. Because if you wanted a sunroof you likely want it to open atleast a little bit for the added airflow and fun to be had!
